decoupage stools i shlepped on the plane for the grandkids
you should have seen me carrying 5 packages onto the plane in order to bring all the stuff i made/bought for my family in israel
i looked pretty ridiculous
beside the 3 stools, i also shlepped heavy knotted fringe fleece blankets that i made
hallel and kaveh call the stools their " little tables"
they're made with about ten layers of mod podge and Future floor polish
hopefully that will make them pretty durable
hallel and i had lots of fun with the crafts supplies i brought:
rubber stamps and pads
she wondered why i brought so many heart-themed items
they were part of Target's Valentine's Day Sale
fun with yehuda avner/shabbat with shani and elan
i spent the first day of my trip to israel in beer sheva with my daughter, tamar, her husband, david, and their two-year-old son, yehuda avner
it's always great to spend time with them
we all went to bet el for shabbat to the home of my daughter shani and her husband elan
my son, yaakov, joined us
it was a lovely shabbat
good company
good food
beautiful surroundings
unfortunately, no pictures

yisca sarah weinstein
the main reason that i went to israel at this particular time was to be there for the birth of my grandchild
i planned to be there from a week and a half before Rachel's due date to a week and a half after
yiscah sarah was most cooperative
she was born one day after her due date
yisca sarah was named after a greataunt and great great grandmother on her father's side
yiscah is also an alternative name listed in the Torah for Sarah
it's from the same root as sukkah and it is said to reflect the idea that God's spirit rested upon Sarah/Yisca as the schach rests upon the sukkah
